Personally-  not that anyone should care- I'm taking that bet- for better or worse.

Now- if a deal is in the works- of course it can't be announced until after it is concluded. But- if BG cares a whit about the shareholders- an iffy proposition at best- and if there really is progress being made towards a deal- I think at least a "low level" - "interested parties talking" type progress report could and should be put out- so that we don't get further into a hole that we then have to climb out of. I think, considering the atmosphere and the circumstances- it would go a long way.
