You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
And my guess is we will never see $2.50 again. If drilling is encouraging enough, the company will be taken over (or taken private) before the price gets that high.
Still, if it happens, there is lots of money to be made between now and that point.
