As to turn-a-round time for our core, note that part of the potential timeline sequence she mentions was already past when Hay Mountain core was shipped to our local lab.  Also, note that transportation times typically experienced by more remotely located projects do not apply in our case.  Given these circumstances, I will stick with 6+ weeks, meaning my countdown begins in the middle of next week.
