Lithic Intersects 9.76 Metres of 11.15% Zinc and 14.94 Metres of 0.22% MoS2 at Crypto
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Aug 21, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --
Lithic Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: LTH) (the "Company") is pleased to report additional assay results for the Crypto project located in western Utah where zinc-copper-indium mineralization occurs as multiple skarns and replacement bodies hosted in a carbonate sequence near the contact with a high level felsic intrusive complex.
Hole C08-12 was drilled as a 60 metre step-out to test the westward extension of mineralization encountered in holes C08-06 and C08-09. Multiple zones of skarn-hosted mineralization were intersected, the better of which included:

The results for hole C08-12 demonstrate lateral continuity of the Crypto deep sulphide zone to the west. Skarn-hosted molybdenite mineralization, similar to that reported previously for hole C08-09, was encountered from 595.88 to 610.82 metres. Intrusive-hosted molybdenite mineralization was observed lower in hole C08-12 and values for this interval will be reported after the results of infill sampling are received. The presence of molybdenum mineralization here and in previous and historical drilling suggests that it may have been remobilized from a larger underlying porphyry molybdenum system to which the skarn mineralization at Crypto is peripherally related.
Samples from C08-12 were processed before those for holes C08-10 and C08-11 in order to guide a further step-out to the west in hole C08-14. However, oxide zinc mineralization was observed in both C08-10 and C08-11. Original and infill samples from these holes are currently being processed and the results will be reported when received.
The exploration program at Crypto was completed in early July with a total of 10,407.87 metres (34,146.6 ft) having been drilled in 15 holes. Mine Development Associates of Reno, Nevada has been retained to prepare an updated resource estimate for the property and work to this end is already under way. The new resource estimate, along with preliminary metallurgical test work, will be incorporated into a comprehensive NI 43-101 report expected to be completed later this year. A plan and/or selected sections illustrating the locations of holes reported to date are available at www.lithicresources.com.
