Splits shouldn't have made any difference to your profit or loss. You're only "mistake", as far as I can see, was not selling when your partner did. That's understandable. There's room for more under my rock, if you're interested.

I came across a copy of an email I sent to a friend and copy / pasted here back in Sept 2012 showing the math on how the shares could CONCEIVABLY go to $34.40 based on book value and net present value (NPV) of $450m in revenue over 7 years (the latter adding $18.88 alone). Before anyone jumps down my throat: I AM NOT SUGGESTING THIS WILL BE THE CASE.
