Gibby has a perfect right to express his negative comments, just as the rest of us have the right to recognize it for what it is. Is anyone out there old enough to remember Spiro Agnew? Not much to recommend him, but I loved his comment on the press: “nattering nabobs of negativity”.
Gibby insists on applying the same standards of performance to OMAG as one would apply to a NYSE listed stock. There are many types of investment. If you want consistent predictable performance and returns in the 4 to 8% annual range (if you are lucky), buy a managed portfolio from Fidelity Investments. Anyone with any common sense knew what they were buying in OMAG. A small company with little visible resources puts together a remarkable vision for OMAN that they seem to like. We bought this vision, which has enormous upside along with the inevitable risk that comes with high yield investments. Put your big boy pants on.
