I think (correct me if I'm wrong) the 8k was necessary due to the warrants being excercised on the 15th which would need to be reported within three days (today). Had they issued that with no update on the DA signing, I for one would have been more annoyed. Perhaps this is the reason for a seemingly intermediate update. The warrant extension is a nice consolation.
