We could ask 3.15 or higher but the market makers would short or sell it at 2.99 or less to increase their short position and price would only move to your price if big orders came in to buy, then they could short more at higher prices. My question is where did they borrow 600,000 shares to short. Or are they naked shorting where they don't have to bother borrowing. Has anyone been contacted by a brokerage firm to borrow shares in order to short. I have not.
