Some treasures are found hidden in basements and attics or discovered at the bottom of the sea. Others can be found in full view of the public eye but go unnoticed, unrecognized, unwanted. I'm talking about stocks. Here are some examples:

Apple had a high of 124 in Feb 2015 and a low of 11 in Jan 2009.

Microsoft's high was 50 in Nov 2014" its low 16 in March 2008

Market Vector's Gold Miner ETF's (GDX) high 64 in Aug 2011, its low 15 in Oct 2008

Hershey's high was108 in Feb 2014, its low32 in June 2008

Pfizer's high,34 in Feb 2015, its low 14 in Feb 2009

Amgen's high, 113 in Dec 2014, its low 39 in March 2008

Freeport-McMoran's high, 60 in Dec 2010. its low 8 in Nov 2008

The point here is that there are treasures to be found in the stock market. From time to time even the best of stocks can take a hit and astute investors take advantage of that hit and turn it into a home run. (Think buylow, sell high). In that regard, Omagine may be a treasure in the making. I'll explain.

The past 4 months have provided little in positive news for the stock. Its performance has been poor, the volume, if any, dismal, mired as it is in investor apathy. That's the bad news. The good news is that in signing the Development Agreement (DA) in October, the Government of Oman has contractually obligated itself to participate in the construction of the $2.5 Billion Omagine Project, providing it with land valued at $700 million and cash payments of $70 million, and mandating the ratification, approval and registration of the DA and Usufruct Agreement by the various Ministers, as called for in the DA.

The problem has been that in carrying out these mandates, which are to be done before the construction process can begin, the Ministers, for whatever reason(s), have been moving with glacier like speed. This is the hit that Omagine is taking When that glacier melts, and it will, its flow will lead to the start and successful completion of the Omagine Project.

When that glacier does melt, investors new to Omagine will find in its place the hidden treasure that is Omagine (existing investors in Omagine are already aware of the treasure), and will then be in position to take advantage of the hit the stock has taken and turn it into a home run... and a treasure.
