Multi-Billion Dollar Agreement Signed With Oman
Anitha, as I stated yesterday afternoon in my post, the actual signing of the UA is "old news". The announcement spelling out the dates of the signing, increased the stock price as posted by Jeff VERY early this morning, over 50% ----so the signing and registration announcements are "IN" the price. Now ,according to today's 8-K we may have to wait another 10 days to see how the accountants want LLC to handle their 60% share of the estimated THREE QUARTERS OF A BILLION (with a capital "B") DOLLARS of land value which is just now being transferred to us as we speak. Call me crazy, and far be it from me to be somewhat critical (oh no, not Mr. Bill), but I would have thought that this accounting method would have been discussed and resolved in the last several years and if not then, how about once the DA was signed on 10/02/2015. Since the UA signing and registration were simply routine "bureaucratic" requirements after the signing of the DA, one would think we'd be up and ready to slug the land value numbers on to the books once the UA was signed and registered. The "precisely correct accounting method" could have been determined long ago because as far as I see it, nothing has changed from the signing of the DA till now concerning the UA . ( I know, I now sound like Mooner and Eddie--sorry) .Perhaps Deloitte & Co. didn't realize that they could not provide "internal accounting advice" or we just assumed they could, and they dropped the news on our management this week. In any event, we've received some great news (and some will be delayed ten additional days) and the stock price has risen 50%. Now let's all salivate waiting for PWC to figure where to record the land value so that we can all see exactly what our 60% is worth and how the maket reacts. Next on the agenda, choosing our Financial Adviser and getting CCC-OMAN to "SIGN ON THE LINE WHICH IS DOTTED", Bill..... Anitha, welcome back after a long hiatus.
