I disagree with the comment that it is easier to manipulate a company based on the number of shares.
All four of the companies (SPQ, KWG, FWR and PRB) have similar market caps, but all have different outstanding share floats. This means that to manipulate the share price would cost roughly the same dollar value. When trading a share down, it would cost about the same. It's just a matter of whether you are using pennies, nickels or dimes to do the manipulation.
