Golghunter11, You are right about the money. $100k is barely enough to keep an office running let alone do field work. VTEM costs run around $1500-2500/km depending on where you are located plus mobilization costs. 4x4km @ 100m lines is around 160 km of line or a lot more then $100k. Unless you are planning on aquiring or JVing an adjacent property there isn't any advantge to not drilling on the boundary. You don't need a buffer for exploration and often adjacent property holders will allow the other compnay to drill from their property if it makes sense. Often both parties get to log the core/access the survey overlap etc. You can drill under lakes without any issues. You can also winter drill from the lake once you get enough ice. My read is Dave would have aquired the property if it was attractive. It certainly was cheap enough if he wanted it. ... Been There
