Yes indeed, very frustrating to see our SP fall after posting another absolutely stellar NR. This has been standard operating procedure for the crooked traders and firms for a very long time now. Unfortunately, it happens to the majority of exploration companies and these thieves will not go away until its time to go away.
So...when will they move on?
My analysis ("gut") tells me a few things will need to unfold before we are allowed to run and run hard.
- Round 1: Dave will need to release a steady stream of news that the market, and the institutions, simply can not ignore. Let's hope the NR's continue throughout the second half of the year. Our last NR saw Probe land a good left hook.
- Round 2: Land aquisitions locking up ownership in areas of the higher grade zones that we currently do not own. Dave is working diligently as discussed in the recent article shared on this forum. Let's call this a straight left that lands.
- Round 3: The POG needs to run a bit and stay comfortably above some critical technical and psychological levels. I'll let El P continue to keep us all well informed on this front. No idea where the psychological level may be...it could be a round number like $1,500 or something much closer to the all time high near $1,900. Big one here, a left/right combo that sends the traders back on their heels in to the corner.
- Round 4: Once the bell rings at the end of the 3rd Round, both the speculators and eventually the more mainstream investors will come back to our sector looking for potentially higher returns. Now we really have something...capital looking for a home outside of the traditional asset classes. This is the standing 8-Count that I spoke of a few weeks back.
At this point, my guess is that the traders will begin to look for much easier prey than PRB as capital will be flowing to many other companies much less deserving and poorly managed.
- Round 5: With the higher POG, majors and mid-majors will be more compfortable looking to add to their reserves through acquisitions. Yes, it makes more sense to buy now and get reserves on the cheap, but thats not how companies operate...they often wait for a slow, fat pitch down the middle before taking a swing. So they overpay. Hooray!
- Round 6: AEM decides to offer us shares and cash to take us out as they can smell others about to do the same. Thankyouverymuch!!
Obviously, none of us knows how many rounds it will take. Bottom line is that it will take some time. The traders will pounce again, so add some shares to your back to school shopping list. I'm okay sitting ringside, getting hit with sweat as we land our punches, and waiting for the referee to waive his arms and stop the fight. We have a champion in the making. Not even Clubber Lang or Drago can stop us now. Ding Ding.
