I was digging around the net looking for some current deep drilling stats. From http://www.reservoirminerals.com/News/News-Release-Details/2013/Reservoir-Minerals-Reports-Drill-Intersection-of-2913-Metres-Grading-717-CuEq-at-the-Timok-Cu-Au-Project/default.aspx they stated their 1000m holes took 35-55 days each (~25m/day) and their 1900m holes took between 120 to 200 days per hole (~12m/day). An Australian example indicated 14-21 days for a 900m hole. Guessing the direct drilling costs would be around $250/m for the 1000m hole and $350-400/m for a 2000m hole. Vertical depth of a 1000m long hole at 60 degree dip is around 860 m deep or less (holes tend to flatten as drilled) It might be interesting to drill a deep fence of holes on a high grade section and then wedge off a number of holes off the deeper pilot holes but I suspect we will see incremental along strike drilling. Less risky. Once they exhaust the strike potential with lower cost drilling we may see some of the deeper drilling. If this season is successful I suspect the next thing we will be hearing is an announcement that they are going to drive a ramp down under the lake. ... Been There
