Message: 8 drills keep on turning... on the ice surface

Folks,

There was some doubt about the number of drills being used in PRB winter drilling program. People were not sure if 8 drills are actually used , since there have not been any "official" NR on the topic. Eight drills came from some verbal information, but it should be good enough if the info came from senior staff of the company.

Just wanted to keep the fact straight, I have checked with the company and I was told that definitely 8 drills were used for the winter drill program. They are still turning, thanks to the absence of global warming. When the ice gets thin they will be pull out and 4 drills will be used from land for in-fills drilling.

So, why PRB doubled down from 4 to 8 drills. Race against spring thaw to get as much coverage below the lake as possible, or excitement from the (amazing?) visuals of the cores they pulled up from underneath the lake at the start of the winter drill program? Imagine dancing on ice and hugs all around, but no champagne, since drillers have to have clear vision and steady hands for the job at hand. LOL!

Anyone seen any amazing core samples with glittering specks of Au at PDAC?
