It wouldn't surprise me if the shares eventually end up in the miscreant's hands. Anyone that's a member of the Exchange can change the buyer's name without a problem. If the investigators look deeply into the complaints they should start first at the Clearing Corp. In addition, they should look seriously at the failures to deliver all those 100 share lots that bombarded the bids over the past 4 weeks or so.
