One thing I noted today is that if I refreshed my quotes as fast as I could click which I would estimate as 2-3 second intervals - one click I would see a significant number of shares at an ask of $2.24 - the next click 100 or 200 shares at $2.23. Click again the same number at $2.24 the next click 100 shares at $2.23. No sales either so the 100 share orders seemed to be only there for a second or two and then they were cancelled. Did this for 2 or three minutes a couple of times today.

Don't know what it means - but looks like some sort of automated trading algorithm to me.
