NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION ON ADVANCED EXPLORATION
PROBE MINES LIMITED – BORDEN GOLD PROJECT
Probe Mines Limited is pleased to announce plans for a public information session, as required by the Ontario Mining Act and as part of the permitting process to discuss an Advanced Exploration Program for the Borden Gold project located 9 km east-northeast of the town of Chapleau.
Advanced exploration will comprise the installation of limited surface facilities, underground development and diamond drilling. Development will include a ramp to a depth of 220 metres below surface with several drifts, including a diamond drill drift and a drift in the mineral deposit for extraction of a bulk sample of up to 30,000 tonnes for testing. Work is proposed to commence in the third quarter of 2015 and continue for a period of approximately two years.
Probe is working with several consulting companies to complete engineering and environmental permitting requirements. One of these companies is AMEC Environment & Infrastructure, a firm with extensive experience in environmental permitting for Ontario mining operations. Permit applications are scheduled for submission to appropriate government agencies in late January 2015. Required permits include Environmental Compliance Approvals for Sewage Works & Air, and Permit to Take Water. A Closure Plan will also be submitted to the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines pursuant to Section 140(1) of the Mining Act, for review and approval.
The public information session will be held in Chapleau on Thursday January 22, 2015, at the Chapleau Recreation Centre (Community Hall), on 4 Maple Street, between the hours of 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Company representatives will present information on the proposed project and will be available to answer any questions. All are welcome.
