Gold $1283.00

Interesting contrary strength today in some of the senior golds while the metal was off over $10. AEM, GG and NEM performed well, significantly coming off their lows of the day. All three picked up support declining towards their recently breached 200 day moving average lines: AEM 31.25, GG 23.58 and NEM 23.03. NEM alone traded 11.2 million shares and was on the plus side by 34 cents. Odd to see such contrary strength as these shares have been the dog-house for so long. Is something changing? If these three can hold above their 200 day moving averages lines this week, it is suspected that gold would continue to firm in the days ahead with the breaking of the $1300 barrier a decent probability.
