The bottom line is 1) most platinum group (e.g. gold) metals found in association with old magma flows, and then percolation-up of dissolved metals 2) the magma flow is approx. 2-3 billion years old (last time it was liquid rock) 3) the nice thing about realizing that you are chasing a magma chamber is that you have a defined resource body in your sites - a big "lump" of something.
Looking at the geomag image, I can hardly imagine there being much doubt on this point.
All to the good. Higher amplitude average magnetic variance than the KXL honeycomb. That doesn't mean more, but it does mean there is a lump of something there.
