Focused on becoming a near-term Gold Producer
I appreciate the two previous posts by w6w and sunwaves. If they are going to set the drill rigs down anywhere, obviously they are not going to do it on the blind. Concerning Jacobus, they would not drill there on just a whim, hope and prayer that there is a connection to something else. IMO, they more than strongly suspect that a Jacobus discovery will run S/E. The experienced geo's can do some type of 'field testing' that is greater than just eyeballing the rock, before they send it to the lab. They will not send granite to be assayed. Usually a company will avail itself of the historical data, the overhead surveys, the terrain, the grab samples, the channel samples, [if applicable] the previous drilling results, along with the professional gut feel [opinion] of the geo's. Geologists can also contact peers in the industry [or a PARTICULAR company] with whom they are close to, in order to get further thoughts about a particular structure or rock. This is ESPECIALLY true IF it is in the best interest of BOTH companies for them to do so. Hmnn.
The bottom line is that Sage Gold is not going to drill anywhere unless they are confident they can locate the goods. Sure they will not always hit the mark but most of us believe they will have a great batting average because of the above stated reasons.
They like Jacobus and unless it proves to be a dead end trail, so should we.
Best wishes,
Jerry Francis
