TORONTO, ONTARIO--(May 28, 2008) - Sage Gold (TSX VENTURE:SGX) is pleased to report the latest results from its 2008 winter drilling in the Lynx Area, Onaman Project, in the Beardmore/Geraldton area, Ontario.

Highlights:

- S08-52 - 3.72 metres (3.2 metres true width) of 8.07% Cu, 6.08 g Au/T and 236 g Ag/ T including 2.72 metres of 10.89% Cu, 8.2 g Au/T and 318.4 g Ag/T

- S08-03 - 2.0 metres (1.5 metres true width) of 4.57% Cu, 1.10 g Au/T and 123.5 g Ag/T including 0.68 metres of 10.75% Cu, 3.06 g Au/T and 258 g Ag/T

- Lynx #1 (South), #2 (North) and #3 (Central) zones (Lynx) are a continuous zone over a strike length of 970 metres. The north and south strike directions are open and untested.

- The southern portion of the Lynx area has been tested to a vertical depth of 170 metres - grade and thickness increase with depth.

- Parallel zones were also discovered both stratigraphically above and below the main horizon.

The deepest intersection to date (S08-52) extends mineralization at the southern end of Lynx to a vertical depth of 170 m, where a true width of 3.2 m grading 8.07 % Cu, 6.08 g Au/T and 236 g Ag/T was intersected. The interval includes 2.72 m grading 10.89% Cu, 8.2 g Au/T and 318 g Ag/T. The intersection is 37 m below historical hole 75-16, (3 m grading 1.05 % Cu, 0.19 ounces Au/t and 0.016 ounces Ag/t). Hole S08-40 (8.55 metres grading 1.38% Cu, 100.3 g Ag/T and 2.28 g Au/T) reported in the press release of April 3 undercut historical hole 75-14 which yielded 3 metres of 6.95% Cu, 4.25oz/t Ag and 0.036 oz/t Au. S08- 40 is located 50 metres east of S08-52.

Drill holes S08-12, 11 and 26 tested the north western extension of the Lynx horizon and have encountered strong mineralization 250 m north west of the stripped area. Hole S08-11 also intersected 0.20 m of high grade gold, silver, lead and zinc which may indicate a new mineralized exhalite.

A new zone was discovered located 200 m east of the centre of the Lynx (East) zone. Hole S08-6 intersected narrow mineralization (0.5 m - 0.44 metres true width - grading 1.8% Cu, 3.41 g Au/T and 73 g Ag/T at the southeast end of a horizontal loop electromagnetic anomaly. Hole S08-4 intersected 3.2 metres (2.4 metres true width) of 1.32% Cu, 0.21g Au/T and 17 g Ag/T 100 metres northwest of S08-6.

A plan map of Lynx Area drilling will be posted on the Sage website: www.sagegoldinc.com. Sage has drilled 33 drill holes to date during the winter program on the Lynx zone. Assays are pending on three holes. Fourteen new holes are reported in this press release. A full assay table with all of the results will be available on the web site.

Nigel Lees, President, stated; "These results represent the highest drill assays ever on the Onaman Property and reinforce our view that the Lynx mineralized zone remains open along strike in both directions and the grade and thickness improves with depth. We have completed 7,162 metres of drilling on the Lynx zone and plan to drill a further 8,000 metres this summer. The main horizon is more than one kilometre in length and there are other parallel zones. We plan to extract a bulk sample for metallurgical testing and it appears that the mineralized horizon is open pittable.

We are implementing a very aggressive exploration program in the
Beardmore/Geraldton gold camp for 2008 consisting of about 22,000 metres of drilling focused on our Onaman and Jacobus properties. We have located a large quartz vein system on the eastern side of the Jacobus property which may be related to Kodiak's neighboring Golden Mile discovery. Our summer field program will include drilling, extensive ground and airborne geophysics, geochemistry, line cutting, sampling and prospecting on Sage's extensive property portfolio."

Assays reported in this news release were completed by ALS Chemex in Thunder Bay. Sample preparation was completed in the Thunder Bay facility of ALS Chemex and prepared samples were shipped to the ALS facility in Vancouver. The copper-silver-gold samples were assayed using induced couple plasma (ICP) testing with a fire assay finish for high grade precious metal samples and atomic absorption finish for high grade Cu, Zn and Pb samples.

The Onaman Lake project is being supervised by Exploration Geoscience Associates of Orillia, under the direction of Ulrich Kretschmar, Ph.D, P.Geo (APGO #1160). Dr. Kretschmar has extensive mineral exploration experience in Archean terrain, is a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 and is responsible for the technical content of this news release.
