Update...

Just some comments re: latest exploration update provided on July 31, 2008:

Key statement: "Sage is one of the most active exploration companies in the area and holds a very large and strategic land position." ...so very true. As longbomb pointed out, SGX acreage has exploded (compare this with this) especially in more northern Onaman area... where SGX has the definite advantge in the land and exploration department. SIX key properties identified in the area.

East Jacobus - Grab samples: 30.1 and 47.9 g/t Au! PLUS grab sample 2km away 14.8 g/t to demonstrate potential here. What we have been waiting for folks... confirmation of gold at the surface (just like KXL) Assays not as high (yet IMO) but this will come with further exploration (possible those results still in the lab). This is of obvious importance, especially in light of KXL NR the very next day. Coincidence? Likely not. Speaks to communication between SGX and KXL. Very good sign IMO. Only a couple a results included in 'update'... many more to come incl. channel samples. Drilling already planned for Sept. and will tell true story. (Don't forget we have been told aerial video will be done when all stripping is complete and drilling is underway... sound familiar?... SGX to be KXL of 2008?)

South Jacobus - don't forget about this... "937,538 tons grading 0.43 per cent copper and 0.41 per cent nickel"... will likely be added to after most recent drilling program (maybe get to 2M tons?, 3M?)... the whole reason SGX was drilling at Jacobus in the first place. Also.. IMO this statement went largely unnoticed given commentary here... "possibility that the currently outlined disseminated mineralization represents a magmatic conduit from a large body of massive sulphides at depth."... Remember all the talk last year about a "magma chamber at depth"?... and remember this map? (again, thanks longbomb!)... Check out the lower left corner... the scratchy red area... 'mineralization zone'... this only appeard on this map after latest round of drilling... seemed SGX did find something of interest at depth and in an area not previously tested. Looking forward to results of ongoing geochemical study and likely some deep holes to check this out in next round of drilling.

Onaman - 13,983 metres (and counting!) drilled so far this year! (i.e. ~ half of what was included in latest KXL release)... We have seen results for less than half of this. What's not to like?... especially in light of MASSIVE additional staking over past 6 months or so. Somebody likes what they see. Strike length of 1km open on both ends... parallel structures have been identified to the east... drilling is continuing and assays are pending... results to date are very encouraging... independent mining consulting group to commence a preliminary economic review... Again what's not to like?... If you are not familiar with results from this area do yourself a favour and re-read all previous Onaman NRs... Many previous results are quite impressive IMO. More to come very soon.

Paint Lake, King Solomon Pillars, Missing Link - three very strategic gold property land acquisitions by SGX. Have really moved fast on Paint Lake (contiguous with ONT Brookbank deposit) w/ some trenching and sampling complete, and drilling already planned. Line cutting, trenching and sampling ongoing at King Solomon Pillars (contiguous with KXL Solomon Pillars property... see latest KXL NR and previous post re: pics... currently being drilled) and Missing Link (located along strike from the same structural corridor as Paint Lake).

IMO Jacobus East Au grab samples overshadowed ALOT of valuable information contained in this relatively brief 'exploration update' (and for good reason IMO). There is and has been ALOT of work ongoing with SGX during the past 6 months. News has been scarce but this will not continue. We are quickly approaching the favourble time of the year for Au and junior explorers... we all remember what happened last October.
