It could be Rod, but I don't think they have enough info yet.
Earlier this year when KXL was showing the cross section of their drilling results it's showed a wave to the north west. speculation at the time was that the source was somewhere to the NW. I asked Bill Love at PDAC specifically about that and he said there's no way of knowing until we explore more.
what we do know is that the veins get wider and more intense to the NW ... from KXL presentation and Sage presentation showing veins up to 20m wide at surface (Think I got that right).
This doean't mean that Sage is the source either ... until they find the end of the vein system or a place where the veins start becoming narrower and less intense to the NW. The source could be even farther NW on the other side of Sage ... but you'd think that there would have been a scramble to pick up claims there if that were the case.
Wherever the source is it's deep ... a la Red Lake, Val D'or etc. Sage's winter drill program will provide a lot of insight for both Kxl and Sgx. If it's as deep as Redlake >1,000-1,500 metres, it will be a long time before we get to that. We'll probably be waiting beyond this time next year for any deep drilling to start unless it becomes obvious where it is... time will tell
Keep in mind that I'm not a geologist or an engineer so this is pure guess work on my part, but it seems to be logical.
