Kinross Disappoints

Kinross is down today on news that an offshore resource will have lower production in the coming quarter. They will be short some 100k ounces gold. Now, they will be announcing a J/V moving towards production in Alaska. But they will have to replenish their forward looking inventory in other areas. Hopefully this is where the involvment with Sage comes into focus. Will they try to buy shares in the marketplace upon reviewing assay results yet to be released? This would lead to a major spike in volume, probably a 1 day event. Would they come forth with chequebook in hand, and further dilute the float? Perhaps a combination of the two, or some other strategy. Whichever, I see Kinross becoming a much bigger player in our lives. Agree-Disagree? Alternate scenarios? Remember that Kinross is set to announce guidance on Nov. 2nd.
