what else is expected of companies who need capital to prove up resources.
Jerry you are a wise man. It's too bad the management of Sage do not heed your advise. Rather than proving up resources, they have done cursory exploration on a collection of properties. When it looks like more work will be done on a property, they acquire new ones and do cursory exploration work.
Since I've owned this stock in early 2007, Sage has.
1.) drilled a nickel property and theorised that there is a possible deposit much deeper ... and never investigated further
2.) Drilled the Onoman property and proven a resource that in it's own right is yet too small to build a mine on and needs further work ... nothing done in over a year on Onoman.
3.) Cursory exploration on the golden extension, spents hundreds of thousands of dollars stripping trenching and then drilled only 1000 metres.
4.) drilled solomons pillars and Paint Lake ... again cursory. results have been pending for several months
5.) Acquired several "strategic" properties to do more cursory work.
What's next? $800,000 will not last very long given their burn rate. Why are they expecting to find high grade gold near surface? nobody else in the area has. Haven't they figured that out yet? There's been a lot of money spent and no alot of prgress being made.
When I first bought Sage the shares O/S were less than 100,000 now we're approaching 300,000 and there's not much indication that they've gotten ahead anywhere. It's quite disappointing actually that all this money was squandered on lots of potential. This seems to be the Brian McCabe of exploration companies ... Lot's of potential, but never amounts to anything.
Good Luck to all those who are hanging in.
