It is a well wishing that comes from the Bible. In 3rd John verse 2 it says, " Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers".
I know that the word 'prosper' has a different interpetration these days but a careful reading of the key elements in the well wishing are there for our TOTAL well being.
