Keep in mind, the opinions on this site are for the most part speculation and are not necessarily the opinions of the company WITHOUT PREJUDICE

They won't split the company, doesn't make sense imo. Either will sell the whole company(which I think will be the case) or they will sell just Tesoro and pay out with a dividend. I wasn't sure how the latter works but did come across an example in EAS back in 2007.
1) I also thought this would be the case.

I personally see Tesoro as SLI's main worth and am not too high on most of their other properties but maybe that is just me. I understand many like our management but remember management can only take you so far, you need to have the gold in the ground as well. Right now I don't think the rest of SLI is worth much more then 5-10 cents of our SP but that is just my opinion.
2) Its true, tesoro is our main worth, but IMO the other properties have a value of at least .40/share. Most of us here, beleive we have the gold, coupled with managements actions to date, should keep sending us higher.
3)
Not sure why you guys are worried about this situation right now if you are concerned about us getting full value for the company. It will take at least a couple years to fully prove Tesoro if not more thanks to the major land addition.
3) The question was brought up a few days ago about a stock split, I think what guys are wondering about, is the tax implications of a dividend or transferring some of our wealth to a split company, avoiding some payable tax. Plain and simple people are wondering what type of accounts to hold this in now, with so many possible outcomes.
4)
I wish I knew more about managements plans right now for this. Do they plan on proving what they have right now and then selling the rest along with it for a reduced price, do they actually want to prove up all the resources they can or do they just plan on drilling a few strategic holes and then sell if they are given a good offer.
4) I guess this is what sparked this discussion, nobody knows what managements plans are for sure. The way buyouts are going now, explorers are being bought on the assumption that they could have 2 or 3 times more gold than they prove up. Before, companies got bought on a rough estimate of ounces in the ground. What has changed, is recently companies are being bought on SPECULATION that there is more in the ground. So, having said that,IMO, an offer could come before we get a drill in the ground.
This is just my view on things Geer, it may not be right but it may help people in thinking what to do down the road.
