Geer, you say:

1)You believe the area they are referring to have been mined for millenia is only Tesoro? An elevated desert wasteland far away from any water and difficult to get to with todays technology let alone on foot/horseback?

I would have to believe that the "area" as they call it is at least including our neighboring mines(Acari, San Juan etc) if not the entire gold belt.

1) I know the belt has been mined by "informales", and NO, I am not saying that Tesoro was mined for millenia. What I was trying to say, is that, the gold found at lower altitudes came from a greater source and its possible Tesoro is one of many sources. It seems unreasonable for me to beleive that this entire belt has ONE source. It is more logical to beleive it has MANY. I interpreted that statement that as saying the source for the area, INCLUDING Acari and San Juan, has never been found. I have read that at least Acari, to our north is beleived to be part of OUR system, and would not doubt that to the south is probably connected as well. I have checked on that statement and have found that,YES, SLI was referring to the WHOLE belt. BUT, it is still my opinion that one source does not account for all the gold in the Nazca-Ocona belt.

2)

As for what caused it. I believe it has to do with Peru's massive volcanic history(volcanic belt runs the length of Peru).

2) Volcanics do play their part , but may be unfavourable for gold formation depending on their characteristics.

3)deepest gold mine; http://www.showcaves.com/english/explain/Mines/Gold.html

4)

Dynacor's veins are inferred to go up to 1.6 km deep and they are at a lower elevation then us. If our mineralization does come from a source I would have to think it comes from far below us and not one of our titan24 targets which all go to depths of only 550 meters(300-400 on average).

Our titan24 targets hopefully contain gold but in no way do I believe they are a source.

4) think of tesoro being the top of a volcano that hasnt blowed open at the apex and Dynacor at the bottom of the side. OUR new Titan will show us deppths to 1500m. Our near surface anomalies are defintely NOT THE SOURCE, they are parts that came from the source, and I suspect the deeper you go, the closer you will get to the source. There is that point in which you will go deep enough to run out of the source because the conditions were unfavourable. How deep, no one knows, but there are other problems the deeper you mine, water, heat and gases are a few that come quickly to mind.
