Message: Timing of the AGM

Primed,

Don't get me wrong as I do believe in SLI, but it has been somewhat painful at times.

I do agree:

  • this is just an AGM that is required by law for a company to host. But for the way SLI has set this up it has been pumped a bit to potentially be more than just another AGM.
  • the sp will do - what it will do, based on news or no news. That is called the stock market.
  • if we drill and hit the results we all hope for that we will all be happy. Assays are king.
  • some things take time to get organized to do things well. I am very happy with the 2010 sp developments in general.
  • the table has been set for everything to be rolled out with more shareholder value than if it was done in April 2010. Patience has paid off.

I disagree:

  • that we are analyzing things too much. That is what this board is for - to discuss opinions and concerns of all shareholders.
  • that we all should not get too excited about the timing of the permit. The permit will make this company become the real deal with the ability to begin drilling.
  • that I should not have expectations as a shareholder on things that are communicated to us.
  • not become disappointed when things do not happen in appropriate timing with no consistent or real explanation.

I can't deny that I knew this would be an emotional roller coaster coming into it (I know, I know it is a junior venture play.........). I have also seen this with many oil and gas companies from the employee side of things and the story is no different for them as well - as sometimes things change and plans get adjusted (big or small).

However, shareholders do adopt trust in management and this turns into credibility (positive or negative). I was fortunate enough to get into SLI early enough to feel comfortable with my investment today and have big plans for this to do well in the future. This is not the case for everyone yet. Keep in mind that some folks got in at plus $2.00 and have not seen the positives side of things yet. I know some of them personally and they are not very happy shareholders from an investment return yet. So for them they may not see it as you do. I sense that maybe Goldenboy may be one as I do agree with most of his comments (maybe not his approach).

I do appreciate Lori and the management team are doing what they can and also have the plan outlined. However, Lori herself at the Edmonton meeting communicated that we would be drilling by late summer 2010. Then we find out that the permit we submitted in Aug 2010. I do have some concerns with this kind of result and believe with time it will all come together. Some things that are said have not actual occur yet (hopefully yet). There has been mention of this being the last AGM meeting and that Tesoro property would be more than likely sold off by Summer of 2011. We have all been told "any day now" for quite some time now (approx 3 months). I think that the little pump on the AGM was to take the pressure off prior to the AGM. So shareholder expectation are being set based on the communication that has been delivered. Many folks are making investment decision based on the probabilities of developments and timing of these events and by what is communicated to them.

Just my thoughts and not intended to be offensive but some shareholders are maybe in a little tighter spot with the risk side of things.

Go Long..............SLI
