I echo Mud's sentiments and would also like to thank everyone for posting the information that was presented. From what has been written, it is pretty clear in my mind what is going on with the permit, and as Kemo says, it is quite thrilling to know that instead of SLI having to guess that the permit is "coming any day" and having nothing more concrete to communicate to the shareholders, the Peruvian government has actually committed a date to SLI for when the approval will be received. Now, let's hope our favorite third-world Latin American country is good on their word!
What a fascinating day yesterday for the sp, first the dip, then the buying back in, and then the strong surge to close up for the day. Each time we shake some nervous nellie shareholders loose from the tree, the more solidified the shareholder base becomes. I believe this bodes well for the eventual sale of Tesoro, although I'm still not sure if/how the shareholder base votes for, or approves of, any bids (by the way, did anyone ask more questions about this at the AGM/presentation?).
Here's my earlier prediction on timeline - still a year away IMO from the ultimate milestone, so I have to keep telling myself that I'm going to have to work for another 12 months minimum, like it or not, LOL. In fact, seeing how slowly things happen, even in light of an amazing amount of activity and NRs in 2010, the more I look at my timeline, the more I am convinced that one year feels about right.
