I know what you mean about the waiting ...after waiting for what now seems like an eternity for this very elusive and "bloody" permit the whole endeavor starts to take on a new meaning that falls somewhere within a mixture of reality, mystery, and faith. You know it'll eventually arrive (But when??) ....and until you have it .......well, you still don't have it. So you find yourself wondering internally more and more as time drifts on month after month while you remain within the grasp, whim, and mercy of an inefficient, understaffed, and indifferent "third world government". This whole thing takes the meaning of patience to a whole new level ...and frustration too for those unprepared. But you don't dare sell your SLI for any reason ......for if you do the permit arrives while you are on the sidelines. Guaranteed. So you are stuck with the waiting game and the torture that the Peruvian government bestows upon you.
