Chinese investment in Peru growing

Why China may be the big buyer waiting in the wings.

"One of the major Chinese mining firms in Peru is Chinalco, which has the US$2.2bn Toromocho copper project in Junin region. The mines and energy ministry (MEM) approved the project's EIS in December.

The approval has boosted confidence among Chinese investors, Tang said."
