I suppose in my mind, a successful Quantec survey could also be one that found very little or no evidence of the possibility of a gold bearing anomalie. Not drilling in a goldless area would be cost saving as well. Selling a property with less gold than you would like to see according to Quantec survey would also be cost saving.

It would be interesting to see results of Quantec surveys that advised not to bother drilling at all.
