Hi LONG; your last statement:
When I look at the birds eye view of Tersoro it has a different color of earth than the surrounding landscape, is there possibly anything to this, or is it just nothing to pay attention to? The odd thing is that it is almost the same shape as our land base. hmmmmm...........?
There is a bit of significance in the color, but dont put too much into it. The darker colors are from some of the exposed volcanics. Erosion from the other rock types and pegmatic/dyke material give it a light color in places. The harder rock gives the dark color. This would be a windy place by times and a lot of dust could get blown around, hence the desert appearance. The key to looking at google earth here, is identifying structures and trends to get some idea of how things happened here .
