Thanks to everyone this morning - you have all kept me busy adding to my file. The Google earth pictures are great, the scaling factor makes sense and the interesting informales numbers all fit in the general plan.

I think the other general plan is fascinating also. When the earth formed and spun off a larger mass, the spinning increased and it is interesting that over such a long time molten areas of the earth ended up with heavy metals of different densities and characteristics thrown out in pools such as shown in certain parts of Peru with gold, moly, copper etc. and you drive through Deluth country and pink (only iron) soil everywhere. Diamonds here and there, uranium here and there, interesting. Thankful also that there was nothing to stop the spinning, so it's easier to sleep in darkness at night; Hog, Sculpin, BOW, Kemo and the other good posters certainly make it easier to sleep at night - again your work is much appreciated.
