hi rinky, no I dont beleive the Chinese are playing this stock. If anything, I beleive if they had an interest in the stock aspect of the company, that they would accumulate shares. If they are watching us for a buyout down the road, they would just approach Lori behind the scenes to make a deal, and keep it confidential, under the non-disclosure polocy.

It would probably be futile for any entity to try to come in through the backdoor and take control of us. So, IMO, the Chinese probably have no stock in us.

And yes, the Chinese are trying to match the US in gold holdings over the next few years. This would require them purchasing approx. 5500 mt of gold. Thats a lot of gold, and rich deposits like ours will most likely be looked at, if they cannot get what they want in the line of gold by usual methods. The Chinese would not want to drive the POG high, they are shrewd business people, so they will probably aquire or buy in to some companies to secure their gold position desired.
