Hopefully, the people of Peru see past the window dressing and choose someone able to keep their economy moving. It appears that Humala may have a chance, if he does get in, then perhaps he'll stick to what's good for the country and not for himself.
WE'll have to wait and see how it'll all play out. Regardless though Peru wouldn't have the economy they have now without the income from the mining exports. I believe that with the economies that have tanked as a reference any government coming in would have to be moderate on changes, or risk huge losses.
