I don't think that anyone should be counting Barrick out, just yet. The markets have overreacted big time to this deal. In my opinion, Barrick shares should have gone up in price, not down. I have watched Aaron Regent for sometime now, he is a smart cookie...

If Barrick is interested in buying SLI, they will. They have numerous ways of financing deals and I think that this Equinox deal is way more than just the copper assets.

Barrick is about gold. They can always spin out their copper assets and use the proceeds to buy more gold ones. I think that the markets have reached the ceiling on the price of copper, whereas the POG has a long way to go...
