It’s still amazing to see what a powerful tool the internet can be. I am very impressed by this group and its evolution continues to surprise me.
After moving from “the site that cannot be named”, as I watched from the bleachers, there were many battles fought on this forum in the name of civility and proper conduct. Hub leaders had to put up with a lot of unnecessary grief to establish what is now, in my opinion, a really great community. The mere fact they continued to do it with no reward or obligation is rare, but certainly we are seeing this phenomenon more and more. If anyone is interested, perhaps the best example is the success of Wikipedia.
If it hasn’t been said, I’d like to add to Kherson’s perfect storm a strong and educated shareholder base enabled by this forum. I don’t know from experience, but it seems to me that instances like this are historically unusual. Maybe not, but as I watch this thing grow I scratch my head nonetheless. Only 10 short years ago this kind of organization and knowledge sharing was much easier said than done.
Manipulators may have tools but so do we.
I feel very lucky to be a part of this. I really believe it’s going to be something big!
