I agree entirely, Sculpin. This is a confusing situation so far - given that the action was taken by the yet sitting President Garcia's government. It seems rather reactionary to me, and may or may not have anything to do with how Humala runs the show when he takes over at the end of July. After all - it'll be Humala that is in power during the most interesting period for us.
I suspect some rather influential international editorials will appear in the next week or so to help us understand this weekend's events. Too much money is at stake to have ambiguity lingering in the Peruvian investment regime.
