While all the share holders of SLI waited patiently and impatiently to receive the news release that would state that SLI would have their EIS approved by the Peruvian Mining authorities, the question of why it was taking so long was raise an uncountable number of times. The typical answer we got from Management was that the EIS was being held up because of the Peruvian Mining Authoritys' decision the change over to the Canadin system of mining regulations. It took far longer than most anticipated but eventually we got it!!!!As I sit here now looking at the situation in Peru, I am somewhat comforted by the fact that we did end up waiting for the new regulations to be in effect and receive our permit under the new Canadian system. Whether by chance or by a managerial decision or both, I can look back at that long tedious wait and appreciate that our EIS is under the new Regulations. I feel that because of our EIS, our great reletionship with Peruvian locals and informales that we hired right from the beginning, Our remote location and absence of plants animals and water, we should be in great shape on the Tesoro Plateau.

Remember that we're not mining this property! Companies like Barrick and Newmont, just to name a couple that may be in line to buy this property, have mines operating all over the world and are very familiar with dealing with a multitude of situations. Barrick is already mining in Peru and that should be a plus for them.
