Looks like things are looking up for any potential suitor for SLI, as far as Peruvian politics go. It appears that Humala is appointing moderate/centrist/realist cabinet members who are free market friendly. It is always good to reassure the markets/investors that your regime is not out to hike resource tax rates to the moon. Of course, politicians are wont to be responsive only to those to whom they can count on to re-elect them so time will tell. The appointments seem to indicate that for the time being real mine builders/producers will escape the worst of the Peruvian tax man possibilities. Good for our eventual buyer.
