Message: Dynacors increased production

In a post earlier today, I said that Dynacors Gold grade had increased by about 30%. After taking some time to go deeper into it, it appears the grade increased more than that. The tonnage per day processed for 2010 was 165 metric tons per day, for 2011 its up a bit, to 176 tons per day. So thats a tonnage increase of 11 tons or 7 %, BUT, the ounces increased by 62 %. So, if you take the 62% increase, minus the increase in tons per day processed of 7%, that really leaves you with an increase in grade of 55%. Much higher than the 30% I suggested in my earlier post! Though my end result earlier today remains the same at an approx grade of 24 g/t, it shows us that the grade before that, was the 16 g/t I had stated.

16 g/t x 50% = 8 g/t

16 g/t + 8 g/t= 24 g/t

Here are some facts from Dynacors site; as you can see these varibles stayed the same over last year, besides the 7 % increase in mill production I already mentioned.

  • The average milling capacity during the first 6 months of 2011 remained stable at 176 metric tons per day, as well as the custom milling yield at 93.5%; and
  • Some of you may find this interesting, also taken from their site;

    A. Dynacor buys ore from small producers and mining companies from all over Peru

    • Ore is trucked to the plant, weighed and sampled
    • Dynacor assays the gold content in its state-of- the-art analytical laboratory (purchased ore has a gold grade between 10 and 100 g/t)
    • Miner is paid within 24 hours at market rate minus a milling fee and other costs

    Specifically, check out that grade in brackets. What they are saying there, is that they have seen a truck pull in that its ore when graded, contained 100 g/t gold! Now thats a hard thing to do, to average that kind of a grade on a truck load, unless it was all hand picked, then even still, where ever it was hand picked from had to assay in the ounces per ton!

    Here is a link to that page, some informative material for us.
