The Newmont version, although substantially different, from the original report, in terms of reserves, is closer re production.

For the sake of simplicity, let's say Newmont is a 50/50 partner. Which means total production will be about double those numbers.
Still far short of the earlier version, but nontheless, a mega project.
Really, the whole point of this exercise, was to indicate that mining dollars continue to pour into Peru, Humala, or whoever may be the 'choix du jour'. Gold is money, and regardless of what Bernanke thinks, money will chase it. As it has done for ever.
