Just a small piece of info for the board regarding shares. ( not SLI )
We have all heard of stock splitting, and now, this morning, I learned of stock rollback. I used to own shares in a small Alberta gas producer that was on the TSX, and at one time their shares were worth $2 to $3 Per share. For various reasons, they dropped down to 11 cents to 13 cents and have remained there for the past 6 months. I sold all when they dropped to $1.10 and was happy I had sold when they kept on dropping.
Can you imagine my shock when I looked at them this morning and they were $18 dollars and I did not have a share. Figured for sure there must be a typo, so I dug a little deeper. Turns out that they did what is called "Stock Rollback"---give you 1 new share for every 200 of your old shares, and raise the price up to $18 dollars---or essentially 9 cents per share. This has to be approved by the shareholders, as well, I imagine by the stock exchange.
So, sometimes things are not always as they appear----some better ---some worse. Guess we always have to remember that "Beauty and Prosperity are always in the eye of the beholder."
