I could be wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if the people shorting the stock are the same ones who likely were involved with triggering the many stop losses during the sudden drop in the stock price from the two dollar to the one dollar level in one day back in early 2010 (April?). I suspect they figured on being able to do it again. But like you say ...the tight shareholder base makes their game a losing battle.

A loaded spring indeed .......and one that keeps coiling stronger by the day. Meanwhile gold continues to "hang tough" making this play all the more prolific. One has to respect the power of gold the way it got smacked down to the lower 1700 dollar per ounce last week only to bounce right back well above 1800 this week like it was a "walk in the park".
