Hi ldsands and welcome to the board.
We cant answer your questions with certainty because we do not know Lori,s stategy. We can only follow her steps and try to figure where she is going. With that said, we see she is constantly seperating off the other properties, if she continues this way, we may only have the Tesoro left in the SLI portfolio. This could make it a buyout of the company, in which case dividends could be paid out to shareholders. There may be a legitimate way for SLI to retain some of the buyout cash and transfer it to one of our other companies( Havilla?), if approved by a vote from shareholders.
The amount of cash to be retained in any circumstance has to be justified. I mean, Lori just cannot keep half of the buyout to use for further exploration. It has to be a reasonable amount, and if we get anywhere close to what we think this Tesoro is worth, you are not gonna miss it on your dividend cheque. For instance; we get $50 per share buyout price, Lori keeps $124 million to keep the company cashed up, that equates to you getting a $1 less on your dividend cheque. BUT! That $124 million Lori now has, can speed up work on our other properties via agressive exploration, putting money back in our pockets a whole lot sooner. I should remind you that we have a very impressive portfolio of other properties also in which any could be worthy of being sold down the road. Like Hog put in his post one time, "this could be the gift that keeps on giving"
