I asked Murray at Whitecourt if he thought the Amex would make a big difference for SLI and he replied " Not really,,, any seriously interested buyers down there can still buy through the Canadian exchange". I then asked if the Amex listing was more of a credibility issue for SLI in the U.S. for the average buyer and he said ,,,"Yes"
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but but right now in the U.S. we're only listed in "Pink Sheets" which require very little company documentation or financials and inverstors know very little about the company they invest in through pink sheets. If we move up to the Amex listing in the U.S., we need to supply vital information and financials such as we do for the TSX venture here in Canada thus making us that much more viable to investors. The Amex is also mostly Junior stocks,, therefore,, from what I understand its the American version of the TSX.V in Canada.
I may be way off but thats how I've interpreted what I've read.
