I normally only read the posts and enjoy the mix of optimism and realism on the forums, but after reading the article I thought it would be worth posting.
I presume this post is primarily to bring attention to the price per ounce in the ground for comparison to SLI and not the information regarding the acquisition.
I am no expert, but I have worked for startups that have been acquired by larger companies. From my experience, acquisitions tend to favor the top tier more than the lower tier of investors and do not provide the type of "per stock" payout that I have seen estimated on the boards. I worked in a different industry but from reading the article, it seems the same.
I have seen a lot of posts on property acquisition. Has SLI Management said anything about how they would react to company acquisition offers?
